Where to Find the Age Limit

You’ll see the age restriction clearly marked on the event page, just below the event name – like this:

Age limits are usually shown as 0+, 6+, 12+, 16+, 18+, or 21+. Below, we’ve answered the most common questions about what these mean.

1. I’m under 16, and the event is 16+. Can I attend with a parent or adult?

It depends on the event. Some organizers allow underage guests if they’re accompanied by an adult, but others don’t. If you're under 16, we recommend checking with the organizer before buying a ticket.

✅ Tip: You can usually find the organizer’s contact info on the event page or social media.

2. I’m under 18 or 21, and the event is 18+ or 21+. Can I still go?

No, these events are strictly for adults.

  • 18+ events often include alcohol or adult content.

  • 21+ events are usually nightlife or club events with stricter entry rules.

If you don’t meet the age requirement, you won’t be allowed in – even with a parent or guardian.

3. I’m a parent – does my child need a separate ticket for a 0+, 12+, or 16+ event?

Usually, yes. Most events require a ticket for each person, regardless of age. However, some organizers may allow very young children (e.g. under 3) to enter for free.

🎟️ Best to check with the organizer before buying your own ticket.

4. Do I need to bring ID for 16+, 18+, or 21+ events?

Yes. Organizers may ask for ID at the entrance to confirm your age.

Accepted forms of ID usually include:

  • Passport

  • National ID card

  • Driver’s license (in some countries)

Digital IDs or student cards may not be accepted, so bring a physical document just in case.

5. I didn’t meet the age requirement or forgot my ID and wasn’t allowed in. Can I get a refund?

It depends on the organizer’s policy. You can submit a refund request in your XTIX viewer account and choose “Face control” as the reason. Be sure to explain what happened.

⏳ Refund decisions are usually made within 1–2 weeks after the event.

To avoid this, always double-check the age limit before buying tickets – and bring valid ID to the event.

6. I have another question about age restrictions

The best way to get accurate info is to contact the event organizer directly. You’ll usually find their contact details on the event page or social media.
