☝️ Note: Promo offers and promo codes can’t be used together in the widget.

What is a promo offer?

A promo offer is an automatic discount shown to fans during checkout. You can apply it to one, several, or all events and ticket categories in your profile.

You can choose:

- Fixed discount – A set amount or percentage off

- Dynamic discount – The discount increases based on the order total or number of tickets

☝️ Only one promo offer can be active per event at a time.

Examples

Fixed Discount

A 10% discount on all tickets for 2 days.

Dynamic Discount

- 10% off orders over 3 and more tickets

The discount updates automatically based on what’s in the cart.

Distributor-specific promotions

You can create promotions that are only visible to selected distributors.

☝️ Not all distributors support XTIX promotions. Check with them before setting one up.

How to create a promotion

Step 1

Go to Promotion → Promotions and click Add.

Step 2

In the "Create Promotion" window:

- Name your promotion

- Select events (or leave blank to apply to all)

- Choose ticket categories

Step 3

Choose where the promotion will appear:

- Own Sales – Your widgets only

- Distributors – Visible in selected distributor widgets

☝️ Only distributors with an active deal will appear. If you leave the field empty, the promotion applies to all current and future partners.

Step 4

Set the discount type:

- Fixed – One set discount

- Dynamic – Varies by order total or ticket count

If a service fee applies:

- Fixed: Fee is added on top of the discounted price

- Dynamic: Discount applies only if the base ticket price meets the condition

Step 5

Set the start and end date/time.

If no end date is set, the promotion stays active until ticket sales close.

Step 6

Choose where the discount applies:

- Widget – Organizer and distributor widgets

- Box Office – If using XTIX’s box office

- API – For custom integrations

☝️ To include distributors, leave “Limit Sales Channels” unchecked.

Step 7

Double-check everything – promotions can’t be edited after creation.

Click Save to activate.

Track your promotion

To see how your promotion is performing:

Go to Promotion → Promotions, select your promotion, and click Statistics.

You’ll see ticket sales and total order value with the discount applied.
