How Do I Change the Venue for My Event?

We get it – sometimes plans change. If you need to update your event’s location, here’s what to do.

First, Check These 3 Things:

  1. Does your event have assigned seating?

  2. Have any tickets been sold?

  3. Does the new venue have a seating chart?


How to Request a Venue Change

  1. Prepare a short relocation letter explaining the change

  2. Send it to [email protected] or message us via chat

  3. Include:

    • Whether tickets have been sold

    • The new venue name and address

📌 This step is required because changing the venue gives customers the right to request a refund within a set timeframe.


If There’s No Seating Chart (With or Without Sales)

✅ The change is simple.

Our support team will update the venue and let you know when it’s done.


If There’s an Assigned Seating Chart

If Tickets Have Been Sold:

  • You can’t change the venue directly

  • You’ll need to:

    1. Create a new event with the new venue

    2. Transfer all unsold tickets

    3. Update Buy Ticket buttons and distributor deals

    4. Decide how to reassign seats for existing ticket holders

    5. Send us this plan in your relocation letter

We’ll help notify customers and, if needed, send new seat invitations.

If tickets were sold through distributors, they’ll handle customer notifications and reissue tickets.

If No Tickets Have Been Sold:

  • Create a new event with the new venue

  • Transfer all tickets

  • Update your sales page and distributor agreements
