Private sales let you offer tickets to a specific group of people – only those with a valid promo code can buy. This is perfect for early access, fan club offers, or exclusive deals.

πŸ”§ How to Set Up a Private Sale

  1. Go to Promotion β†’ Private Sales β†’ Create

  2. Add a name and set the sale period

Outside this period, tickets will be available to everyone

  3. Select a single event (recurring events not supported)

  4. Add widget text (optional message under the promo code field)

β€œEnter access code” is already shown – no need to repeat it

  5. Upload an image (horizontal for desktop, vertical for mobile)

  6. Click Save

βœ… Your private sale is now active!

πŸ”‘ Create Promo Codes

Now, create the access codes:

  • Go to Promotion β†’ Private Sales β†’ [Your Sale] β†’ Promo Codes β†’ Create

  • Choose to:

    • Enter codes manually (e.g. based on email list)

    • Generate codes automatically (format: PREFIXrandomSUFFIX)

  • Codes must be at least 6 characters

  • You can generate up to 30,000 codes

  • Set a ticket limit per code (e.g. 3 tickets per person)

  • Each code has its own validity period, but it must fall within the private sale dates

πŸ“Œ Example Use Case

You’re launching an event on January 8.

Early Bird tickets go on sale July 1 – August 1, but only for loyal fans.

Steps:

  1. Create a private sale for July 1 – August 1

  2. Generate promo codes

  3. Export past ticket data (e.g. FAN zone buyers)

  4. Email unique codes to those fans

  5. Share extra codes with your fan club admin

After August 1, the event becomes public and no code is needed.

πŸ“Š Track Promo Code Usage

  • Go to Promotion β†’ Private Sales β†’ Promo Codes

  • You’ll see all generated codes and usage stats

  • In Order Export, check the Promo Code column to see who used a code
